Court hours: Pre trial conferences are usually scheduled for Wednesday afternoons at 4:00 p.m. The Court Clerk is usually available Monday thru Friday during regular business hours.

Court information: The Court is located in the same building as the Village Police station. Parking is limited and most find parking in the adjoining neighborhood and walking to the Courthouse. The Village Attorney prosecutes the speeding and traffic tickets that were issued by the New York State Troopers. The Menands Village Police officers issue a number of tickets to motorist for violations occurring on Broadway between the City of Albany and the City of Watervliet.  The New York State Police routinely patrol interstate 787 and issue a large volume of speeding tickets for this Court. 

General information: Interstate 787 runs from exit 23 of the New York State Thruway to the City of Cohoes.  This highway passes through the City of Albany, the Village of Menands, the City of Watervliet, parts of Troy and the City of Cohoes.  The unsuspecting thruway motorist needs to pay attention as the speed limit gradually reduces as you head north.
